Thanks for your comment, Shahar. I’ve updated the article: The EXIF data shows that the photo was taken at 1/8000 at f/1.6 with a 24mm lens. That streak in the image still indicates that the bullet is going about 40% faster than it ‘should’ have been. While it’s true that without EXIF data, we initially relied on the photographer’s account, the update provides clarity on the settings used. The discrepancy in the bullet’s speed remains intriguing and raises questions that go beyond just the camera settings. The broader implications of the event, as you mentioned, have evolved quickly, but this technical detail remains a compelling point of discussion.
